Security Operations Centre Operator

Location: West Footscray, Victoria, Australia; onsite work in a critical data centre environment

What you will do

• Monitor high-volume CCTV systems and identify abnormal or suspicious activity.
• Manage security alarms, incidents, and access control events using electronic systems such as IDACS.
• Coordinate incident response and escalate issues to onsite teams and emergency services.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Provide remote support to security personnel, contractors, and staff.
• Support audits, investigations, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience monitoring high-volume CCTV in a security role.
• Experience with access control and alarm monitoring systems.
• Understanding of incident response and escalation processes.
• Strong situational awareness, rapid risk assessment, communication, reporting, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment and manage multiple systems simultaneously.
• Australian citizenship is required for AGSVA security clearance; ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA NV1 clearance and a Security Licence is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience in data centres, critical infrastructure, or high-security environments.
• Current Security Licence.
• AGSVA Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
