Full Time Design Advisor - Joss & Main (A Wayfair Specialty Retail Brand) (Interior Design)

Location: Onsite in Burlington, Massachusetts, United States; full-time retail schedule of 30–40 hours per week with evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Salary: $24.50 per hour plus uncapped quarterly bonuses tied to design performance.

What you will do

• Lead in-store and virtual design consultations, guiding customers from discovery through purchase and follow-up.
• Create 2D/3D room views, mood boards, presentations, and complete room plans using design software and AI-driven tools.
• Apply spatial planning, color theory, textiles, finishes, and product knowledge to create functional, shoppable spaces.
• Manage the customer pipeline, digital design leads, follow-ups, and sales opportunities across in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Maintain showroom coverage, collaborate with the team, and support floor sets and replenishment.
• Build customer relationships and convert design recommendations into completed sales.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in interior design, architecture, or graphic design.
• At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably with higher-priced products, and a record of building trust and closing sales.
• Knowledge of spatial planning, color theory, and style trends.
• Experience or comfort with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, DesignFiles, POS systems, Salesforce, and AI-assisted design tools.
• Valid driver’s license required for potential in-home design visits.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent design-related education.
