Forward Deployed Engineers (AI)

Location: Remote across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Peru, aligned to the client's working day and United States time zones.

What you will do

• Own the full delivery lifecycle, including discovery, design, implementation, verification, release, and post-release incident response.
• Build software, data pipelines, models, or AI systems in production according to the engagement focus.
• Work directly inside client repositories, teams, standups, and occasionally customer calls.
• Identify and complete unassigned work such as securing access, clarifying datasets, and delivering integrations.
• Define acceptance criteria, verify delivery, and communicate decisions and pushback directly to clients.
• Use reproducible, AI-assisted delivery practices with committed agent context, specifications, tests, and change gates.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software, with depth in product software, data pipelines and retrieval, modeling and applied AI, or AI systems in production.
• Experience serving as the only engineer or first engineer on a new client engagement and owning a production system through incidents.
• Direct client-facing experience, including scoping work, challenging requests, and working without a prewritten specification.
• Daily experience with AI coding agents beyond autocomplete, including repository-level context maintenance and review of generated changes.
• Cloud deployment experience on Azure or AWS with Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code using GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Bicep.
• English at C1/C2 level is required; a bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience is also required.

• Working depth in a second engineering lane.
• Experience delivering under SOC 2, HIPAA, or a similar compliance regime.

• Open-source contributions, technical writing, or active engineering community participation.
