Visual Effects Artist (Game VFX)

Location: United States; hybrid/onsite. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $57.98–$72.45 USD per hour

What you will do

• Visualize, create, and implement real-time visual effects for games.
• Develop effects that run efficiently on target platforms while maintaining high visual quality.
• Collaborate with effects artists and the wider game development team.
• Work independently, identify remaining tasks, and proactively resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Technical and artistic experience with sprite-based particles and materials in a game engine, or equivalent VFX experience on aired film, television, or commercial productions.
• Ability to optimize effects for efficient rendering without compromising appearance.
• Strong understanding of form, color, timing, and composition.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, patience, and the ability to resolve technical and creative challenges collaboratively.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Python scripting experience.
• Houdini knowledge or experience.
