Team Lead - GT SO Procurement Canada

Location: Hybrid role based in Montreal, Quebec or Oakville, Ontario, Canada; travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to suppliers, factories, and project sites.

Base salary: CAD 133,000–190,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Project Procurement Managers and Procurement Specialists.
• Support procurement activities throughout tendering and project execution.
• Guide complex commercial negotiations, supplier engagements, sourcing, contracting, and risk management.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Sales, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Quality teams.
• Balance workloads, plan resources, and improve team effectiveness and productivity.
• Promote digital tools, data analytics, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience in a project environment.
• Experience coaching and developing procurement professionals in a matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of project profitability, total cost of ownership, supplier economics, and value creation.
• Ability to assess and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks and support contract negotiations.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Montreal or Oakville, Canada, with up to 20% travel.
