What you will do
- Own Brazil’s monthly accounting close and coordinate stakeholders to deliver accurate, reviewed, and timely results.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and manual journals before posting to the general ledger.
- Lead balance-sheet, flux, and variance analyses to support FP&A, Tax, and Finance leadership.
- Coordinate internal and external accounting partners, including BPO providers, and resolve discrepancies.
- Strengthen accounting controls, standardize close processes, and drive automation to reduce manual work.
Requirements
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including Brazilian statutory accounting, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Business Central and structured closing calendars.
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach with the ability to challenge financial information and identify root causes.
- Ownership, collaboration, and communication skills for working with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and external partners.
- Working proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Demonstrated AI-first mindset, using AI tools and assistants to improve productivity, problem-solving, and decision-making.
