Software Engineer II (Backend)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite per week in San Diego, California. Applicants must be able to work onsite in San Diego.

Base salary: $120,000–$155,000 per year, plus potential incentives.

hirify.global is a digital lending company building an online platform that helps small and medium-sized businesses access capital through automated, data-driven lending.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using TypeScript.
• Implement server-side logic with Node.js and Next.js.
• Integrate front-end elements, third-party APIs, vendors, and financial data sources.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and API diagrams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of backend development experience with Node.js.
• Strong TypeScript experience and familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React.
• Experience with Jest unit testing, microservices architecture, and AWS deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Ability to work in the San Diego hybrid office arrangement with 3 onsite days per week.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial or lending industry.
• Salesforce or related CRM experience.
