TL;DR
Sr. VFX Artist (Real-Time Game Effects): Creating and implementing real-time visual effects for Naughty Dog games with an accent on sprite particles, materials, artistic composition, and platform optimization. Focus on designing efficient effects that maintain visual quality, solving complex technical problems, and collaborating with the development team.
Location: United States, Santa Monica, CA. Hybrid / onsite position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Salary: $57.98–$72.45 USD per hour.

What you will do
- Visualize, create, and implement real-time visual effects.
- Design effects that run optimally on the target platform.
- Identify remaining tasks and work proactively with minimal input.
- Collaborate with effects artists and the wider development team.
- Resolve additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Technical and artistic experience with sprite-type particles and materials in a game engine, or equivalent VFX experience on aired film, television, or commercial projects.
- Ability to optimize effects for efficient rendering while maintaining visual quality.
- Strong understanding of form, color, timing, and composition.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and patience when resolving complex production issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively until problems are resolved.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.

- Python scripting.
- Houdini knowledge or experience.
