Credit Specialist (German Speaker)

Location: Hybrid in Mindelo, Porto, Portugal

What you will do

• Manage a customer portfolio throughout the accounts receivable cycle.
• Monitor aging balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and develop collection strategies.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and order-to-cash process gaps.
• Assess order releases using aging, credit limits, and customer risk information.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness, assign risk ratings, and set credit limits.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and customers to mitigate credit risks and improve AR performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
• At least 2 years of business office experience, including Accounts Receivable exposure.
• Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal.
• Experience communicating directly with customers in a business environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other Accounts Receivable systems.
• Professional proficiency in French, Italian, or Spanish.
• Experience with credit assessment, collections, or order-to-cash processes.
