Manager Software Engineering (Software Development/AI): Leading engineering teams in the design, development, and implementation of complex digital solutions for connected heavy machinery with an accent on software architecture, product delivery, and organizational leadership. Focus on coordinating technical reviews, developing engineering capabilities, and delivering strategic digital products in collaboration with Slovakia-based leadership and US IT teams.
Location: Kosice, Slovakia
Salary: €4,402–€5,200 gross per month; base minimum pay of €52,824 annually.

What you will do
- Lead engineering teams and provide technical direction to engineers and team leaders.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions.
- Acquire the resources needed to deliver work on schedule.
- Monitor individual and team performance and identify training and development needs.
- Coordinate walkthroughs and technical reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and design specifications.
- Collaborate with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the United States.
Requirements
- Relevant education or experience in computer science, technology management, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in software engineering or hands-on management of software development teams.
- Experience leading software development projects and applying software architecture and design principles.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies and Agile tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with generative AI principles and product implementation.
- Leadership experience on medium-sized or larger projects affecting strategic priorities.
- Experience handling shifting priorities and high-pressure environments.
