Software Engineer (Python, Risks Scoring)

Location: Worldwide; flexible work from remote or one of the offices. Relocation support is available to hubs in Cyprus, Serbia, or Kazakhstan.

What you will do

• Implement scoring features, policy rules, and strategies for real-time production decisions.
• Maintain and develop a high-load Python service and its data contracts.
• Build comprehensive unit and integration test coverage.
• Validate changes against real production traffic before release.
• Trace decisions through logs and restore correct behavior during incidents.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Python experience, including internships, personal projects, or commercial work.
• Strong Python fundamentals, including OOP, dataclasses, the standard library, type hints, and static type checking.
• Basic experience with Pydantic, Docker, SQL, Git, and containerization.
• Practical pytest experience with unit tests, integration tests, parametrized cases, and dependency mocking.
• Ability to read existing code, follow team branch and merge-request workflows, and communicate proactively.
• English at B1 level or higher is required.

Nice to have

• gRPC and Protobuf.
• Kubernetes and Helm.
• CI/CD pipelines, especially GitLab CI.
• Kafka, Pub/Sub, or other message brokers and event-driven communication.
• Interest in MLOps and production machine-learning model operations.
