TL;DR
Customer Support Specialist (Medtech): Supporting and maintaining the BloodTrack clinical software system and associated medical devices at a customer site with an accent on patient safety, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and clinical staff training. Focus on resolving hardware and software issues, coordinating hospital stakeholders and third-party repairs, and delivering competency-based training in an onsite healthcare environment.

Location: Customer site in Oxford, United Kingdom; onsite presence required five days per week, 9:00 am–5:00 pm.

What you will do

  • Maintain the functionality of the BloodTrack system, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor the onsite helpdesk, respond to support requests, and investigate system activity, equipment reports, and overdue actions.
  • Collaborate with clinical users, laboratory teams, hospital IT, third-party partners, and internal colleagues to minimise downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on PDAs, printers, blood fridges, and other devices while maintaining asset, helpdesk, location, and KPI records.
  • Coordinate faulty-device repairs, replacement equipment, spare-device levels, reporting, and service improvement activities.
  • Deliver BloodTrack, blood fridge, remote issue, advanced troubleshooting, and train-the-trainer sessions for customer staff.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience as a Biomedical Scientist, Pathology IT Specialist, laboratory professional, or Transfusion Practitioner.
  • At least five years of experience in a nursing or clinical environment, including work with clinical software applications.
  • Clinical knowledge sufficient to understand how the products are used in practice.
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, or competency assessments in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication, organisation, judgement, accuracy, confidentiality, and customer relationship skills.
  • Full driving licence and the ability to work onsite in Oxford five days per week.
