Senior Payroll Specialist (Australian Payroll)

Location: Remote from Manila, Philippines; working hours aligned with AU Business Hours

Salary: PHP 80,000–95,000 per month

An expanding early childhood education provider operating 15 kindergarten centers and building an offshore operational team to support payroll, accounting, and bookkeeping as the business grows.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end weekly payroll for more than 500 shift-based employees across 10+ entities and multiple center locations.
• Interpret and apply Australian Modern Awards, including complex shift variations and pay conditions.
• Review timesheets and maintain Employment Hero configurations across multi-site operations.
• Complete EOFY finalizations and reconciliation reporting.
• Resolve employee payroll inquiries as the primary payroll contact.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and accountants to improve procedures and scale payroll systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of dedicated, end-to-end Australian payroll experience in high-volume, multi-entity operations.
• Experience processing weekly payroll for 10+ entities and shift-based workforces.
• Hands-on Employment Hero experience, including multi-site configurations and timesheet workflows.
• Expertise in Australian EOFY finalizations and reporting.
• Experience handling varied rosters and complex Modern Award conditions.
• Strong ownership, communication, time-management, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in early childhood, education, multi-site retail, or hospitality payroll.
• Experience in scaling offshore or client-servicing delivery environments.
• Exposure to accounting, bookkeeping, or broader financial operations.
