Project Manager Lead (Financial Technology)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus; hybrid work with part of the work from home and part from the office

Salary: EUR 50,000–70,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead large-scale global implementation and migration projects through the full delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate clients, internal functions, shared services, and third-party partners.
• Develop and maintain integrated plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, dependencies, resources, and operational readiness.
• Monitor performance, resolve complex issues, manage scope changes, and escalate matters requiring senior attention.
• Manage project finances and commercial controls, including budgets, forecasting, billing, contractual impacts, and corrective actions.
• Build stakeholder relationships, strengthen governance and quality practices, and mentor project managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant project management experience, including end-to-end leadership of complex IT or financial technology projects.
• Strong software implementation experience and knowledge of application development methods and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience leading multinational, virtual, and cross-functional teams with external partners.
• Advanced planning, resource management, estimation, budgeting, negotiation, stakeholder management, risk management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with flexibility to travel or support clients across time zones when required.

Nice to have

• PMI PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with card management, payment processing, or banking technology implementations.
• Experience delivering customisations, new modules, framework enhancements, or solutions in new countries.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools for planning, reporting, and governance.
