Climate and Economic Technical and Partnerships Coordinator (Climate and Economic Justice): Providing technical leadership for partner-led climate and economic justice programmes in Zambia and across regional or multi-country systems with an accent on climate adaptation, resilience, livelihoods, environmental governance, evidence generation, and partner coordination. Focus on strengthening programme quality, integrating MEAL and learning, supporting donor compliance, and translating programme evidence into policy and advocacy work.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and support for climate adaptation, resilience, livelihoods, environmental governance, economic justice, and inequality-reduction programming.
- Build strategic relationships with partner organisations and support partner-led programme design, delivery, problem-solving, localisation, and capacity strengthening.
- Coordinate restricted projects, workplans, deliverables, and implementation across countries, teams, and stakeholders.
- Integrate MEAL systems, research, evidence generation, learning frameworks, and knowledge products into programme delivery.
- Support donor reporting, compliance, accountability, risk management, and programme integrity.
- Translate technical evidence and field insights into policy analysis, advocacy messaging, and regional influencing priorities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in climate justice, economic justice, livelihoods, environmental governance, and partner-led programme implementation.
- Experience with multi-country or regional systems, partner coordination, programme quality, and technical advisory work.
- Technical ability to connect programme design with influencing and policy work, supported by strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English with strong influencing and persuasive communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, gender equity, ’s values, and cooperative teamwork.
Nice to have
- Portuguese language capability.
- Southern Africa regional experience.
- Experience in donor-funded restricted programming and policy influencing systems.
- Willingness to travel regularly, including locally and regionally and sometimes at short notice.
