TL;DR
Senior Knowledge Graph Engineer (AI): Building high-throughput GraphRAG ingestion pipelines, operational knowledge graphs, and entity-resolution systems for sustainability data with an accent on graph databases, semantic web standards, and AI agent tooling. Focus on optimizing multi-hop retrieval, integrating heterogeneous supply chain and ESG data, and validating graph mutations with deterministic quality guardrails.
Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, with 4 office days per month, or fully remote from Spain. Candidates must be eligible to work and live in Spain.

What you will do
- Design and maintain high-throughput GraphRAG ingestion pipelines for relational data, ESG reports, and streaming feeds.
- Build entity extraction, entity linking, deduplication, and entity-resolution workflows for vendor, product, and facility data.
- Federate internal supply chain data with external ontologies and registries, including GLEIF, W3C SSN/SOSA, Copernicus, and PROV-O.
- Develop low-latency GraphRAG retrieval layers, hybrid vector-graph indexing, NL2Query tools, and MCP endpoints for autonomous AI agents.
- Implement SHACL-based data quality validation in CI/CD pipelines and prevent non-compliant graph mutations.
- Optimize graph partitioning, indexing, and multi-hop queries for sub-second traversal across billions of nodes and edges.
Requirements
- 4+ years of production experience with graph databases, including Neo4j, Memgraph, TigerGraph, RDF triple stores, or comparable technologies.
- Advanced Python experience with RDFLib, NetworkX, or PyGraphistry for scalable data pipelines.
- Strong cloud experience, preferably with Azure, Azure Foundry, Azure Bicep, AzureML, and Azure Cloud Storage.
- Experience with NER, entity extraction, NLP frameworks, LLM-based structured extraction, dbt, and vector stores such as Qdrant, Pinecone, or pgvector.
- Strong understanding of RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SHACL, RDF-star, SPARQL, graph schema design, RML, and R2RML.
- Must be eligible to work and live in Spain.
Nice to have
- Experience with supply chain, carbon accounting, GHG Protocol, or lifecycle assessment data.
- Experience building MCP servers for LLM agents.
- Experience with enterprise OBDA approaches at scale.
