Character Animator

What you will do

• Create keyframe and motion-capture animation for humanoid and creature characters according to client quality requirements.
• Deliver high-quality animation assets with minimal involvement from the Lead Artist.
• Communicate task progress and obtain guidance or approval from the Lead Artist when needed.
• Process motion-capture data, including overlay animation, retargeting, story, and constraints.
• Refine artistic skills and learn new software packages and in-house tools.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Maya and MotionBuilder, with practical experience in at least one of them.
• Familiarity with game engine technologies such as Unity and Unreal.
• Good understanding of posing, timing, spacing, and exaggeration.
• Experience with motion-capture post-processing, overlay animation, retargeting, story, and constraints.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback, communicate effectively, and work independently within a team.
• Flexibility in using different software packages.
