Material Artist (Substance Designer)

What you will do

• Create high-quality stylized materials using Substance Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Maya, or other suitable DCC tools.
• Adapt textures from repositories such as Megascans to established production pipelines.
• Collaborate with the Lead, Art Director, and Level Artists to match art direction, style, setting, quality, and usability requirements.
• Set up materials in the game engine and ensure correct blending and technical compatibility.
• Maintain the integrity and consistency of the material library.
• Research and implement current industry techniques while selecting the most appropriate software for each task.

Requirements

• Deep, highly proficient knowledge of Substance Designer.
• Knowledge of PBR and physically based material standards.
• High proficiency with Maya or a similar 3D content creation tool.
• Experience with Megascans and material optimization for real-time engines.
• Knowledge of material blending systems and the ability to create materials across varied styles and themes.
• At least one shipped industry title, along with strong communication, mentoring, autonomy, and independence.
