Technical Officer - Simulation and Practical Experience

Location: hirify.global Logan campus, Australia; work may also be required across other university locations

Salary: AUD 76,126–80,321 base salary per annum plus 17% superannuation; total FTE package AUD 89,067–93,976 per annum

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain clinical teaching laboratories, practical learning spaces, and simulation environments for Nursing and Midwifery students.
• Support practical classes involving laboratory equipment, chemicals, biological materials, and preserved anatomical specimens.
• Provide technical support for practical classes and simulation-based learning activities.
• Manage equipment, consumables, stock control, and procurement to keep resources safe and available.
• Promote compliant Work Health and Safety practices across learning spaces.
• Collaborate with academic and professional staff on student learning experiences and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Relevant health qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in clinical, laboratory, simulation, or technical support, ideally in healthcare, tertiary education, or clinical skills environments.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices and experience maintaining safe, compliant learning environments.
• Strong organisational, communication, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
• Practical experience with clinical learning spaces, simulation environments, equipment, and resources, plus proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Nursing, Midwifery, or other Health discipline simulation activities.
• Current driver’s licence.
