2D Animators

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, with full-time in-studio or hybrid work for local artists. Remote-friendly and open to artists anywhere, provided they can overlap with some Sydney business hours.

hirify.global is an animation studio producing character-driven animated series and feature films.

What you will do

• Produce frame-by-frame or rigged 2D animation for upcoming productions.
• Deliver animation quotas and complete creative revisions requested by Animation Directors and Supervisors.
• Animate character performances with accurate lip sync, key poses, clean in-betweens, continuity, and show-style consistency.
• Follow production workflows, including layer labelling, node structuring, timing charts, and shot tracking.
• Interpret storyboards and verbal or visual briefs while flagging issues that could affect delivery.
• Collaborate with production and supervising teams while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Solid production experience with character animation in a 2D environment, including lip sync and key posing.
• Solid experience with Toon Boom Harmony and knowledge of 2D animation workflows.
• Good understanding of narrative storytelling, comic timing, camera, storyboard interpretation, and current 2D animation techniques.
• Ability to create economical, dynamic, on-model animation with clean key frames and tight in-betweens.
• Ability to maintain consistent productivity, meet quotas and deadlines, adapt to changes, and follow creative and technical guidance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to interpret creative briefs and share information effectively.
