Identity and Access Management Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

USDS Joint Venture operates a data privacy and cybersecurity program focused on protecting U.S. user data, applications, and algorithms.

What you will do

• Design and operate identity and access management programs based on least privilege, data residency, and fine-grained role-based access controls.
• Develop access governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and technical requirements for internal and external IAM technologies.
• Automate access provisioning, deprovisioning, reviews, and remediation workflows.
• Monitor, investigate, and report inappropriate access to USDS data and systems.
• Classify data, support risk and compliance activities, and participate in security reviews.
• Design security metrics and visualizations for recurring reporting across multiple audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science, business analytics, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in identity and access management or access governance, including RBAC, PAM, access reviews, separation of duties, lifecycle management, provisioning, and deprovisioning.
• Experience designing and deploying IAM solutions and analyzing large datasets across databases such as MySQL, Hive, and Redis using SQL.
• Experience with ISO, NIST, or similar security frameworks; scripting, automation, APIs, databases, and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technology deployments.

Nice to have

• Experience with technology partners, microservices architecture, and automating access management workflows.
• Knowledge of risk and controls frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST RMF, FAIR, COBIT, and ISO 31000.
