Salary: $68,101–$79,300 NZD per annum, pro rata, depending on skills and experience.

The hirify.global hosts Pūtahi Manawa | Healthy Hearts for Aotearoa New Zealand, a Centre of Research Excellence focused on achieving heart health equity for Māori and Pacific Peoples.

What you will do

  • Support the organisation of the Māori summer research programme.
  • Coordinate outreach, education, and other events with Māori and Pacific communities, including occasional travel to events across New Zealand.
  • Track event expenditure and keep activities within budget.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for approved internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support for governance, advisory group, and team meetings, including document production and diary management.
  • Support purchasing, receipting, supplier setup, and supplier activation in line with financial policy and Centre values.

Requirements

  • Three to four years of experience in research management with multiple stakeholders, or equivalent experience in a complex organisation with project coordination or financial administration experience.
  • Proven customer service experience and strong coordination and organisational skills.
  • Culturally responsive approach, ideally with experience working with Māori and Pacific communities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn university systems quickly, and contribute innovative solutions.

  • Fixed-term appointment until 31 December 2028 in the first instance, with a possible extension subject to funding.
