Senior Modernization Engineer - Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Partner with customers to understand business challenges, technical constraints, and desired outcomes, translating them into AI and modernization solutions.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, consulting teams, product teams, and engineering teams to align solution direction and delivery.
• Design, build, and improve AI-powered applications, agentic workflows, Generative AI solutions, RAG architectures, and enterprise automation capabilities.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from requirements definition and architecture through implementation, deployment, adoption, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms, APIs, cloud services, data stores, knowledge repositories, vector databases, and business workflows.
• Contribute reusable assets, solution patterns, code libraries, delivery playbooks, and best practices while evaluating emerging AI and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Hands-on software development experience with Python or modern programming languages such as C#, Node.js, or TypeScript.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including SDLC, Git/GitHub, APIs, backend services, automated testing, CI/CD, and secure engineering practices.
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered solutions with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and architectures, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, RAG, prompt engineering, and vector databases.
• Experience with cloud-native and distributed systems, Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English is required.

Nice to have

• Production experience implementing, operating, and improving AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, or multi-agent solutions.
• Experience building full-stack prototypes or production systems across frontend, backend, APIs, data, and cloud services.
• Experience with agent telemetry, observability, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, policy-as-code, knowledge graphs, or semantic knowledge layers.
• Experience working with customers in regulated or mission-critical environments where reliability, security, and compliance are essential.
• Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
