Location: Spain or Ireland; remote. Willingness to travel across Europe is required.

What you will do

  • Own data centre development in Europe from market entry and early-stage opportunities through Ready-to-Build and energisation.
  • Evaluate and prioritise the Spain or Ireland market based on power availability and pricing, grid connection timelines, land, fibre connectivity, climate, permitting, and incentives.
  • Identify and assess potential sites across technical, planning, power, and infrastructure dimensions.
  • Structure and support development financing, including capital planning, project finance, and collaboration with investors and lenders.
  • Lead planning, permitting, environmental assessment, and stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks while ensuring projects are scalable and aligned with construction requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Europe from early-stage development through design, permitting, and delivery readiness.
  • Deep knowledge of European data centre markets, grid capacity, permitting dynamics, power markets, and new capacity delivery.
  • Strong understanding of European planning and grid connection processes, including work with TSOs, DSOs, and national regulators.
  • Technical understanding of data centre power, cooling, and utility systems, with the ability to evaluate engineering decisions and challenge assumptions.
  • Understanding of infrastructure development financing, project finance structures, and investor requirements.
  • Highly analytical, self-directed, and comfortable with significant ownership.
