Electrical Design Engineer - Electric Power

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available, and the role may require 10% travel.

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year.

Electric Power Division develops integrated electric power solutions, parts, and services for hospitals, data centers, municipalities, and other critical infrastructure applications.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and build low- and medium-voltage switchgear for generator paralleling applications.
• Interpret customer specifications, drawings, industry regulations, and applicable NEC, UL, CSA, and ANSI requirements.
• Create bills of materials in the ERP system and provide direction to purchasing and procurement.
• Direct CAD designers in preparing wiring and assembly drawings.
• Support production during equipment manufacturing.
• Write and validate PLC code for generator control systems and communication protocols.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related program.
• Experience with analytical problem-solving, technical solution development, product design, and product development through production.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
• Availability to work onsite in Alpharetta five days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PLC experience with Schneider and/or Allen-Bradley systems.
• Experience with UL 508A control enclosure design.
• Power engineering and multifunction relay programming or operation experience.
