Production Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; based onsite at the St Pete Global HQ

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor global order management systems and mission-critical applications 24/7 to maintain 99.99% system stability.
• Act as the technical liaison between back-office operations and development teams, managing L1/L2 incidents and root-cause analysis for L3 escalations.
• Track, prioritize, and resolve client-facing incidents with the Client Services team through the ticketing system.
• Support complex database systems, middleware, and daily production operations.
• Build scripts, automation frameworks, and AI agents to eliminate repetitive work and improve production efficiency.
• Support global trading sessions across irregular shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in IT production support, SRE, or systems engineering in high-availability environments.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL or NoSQL databases and middleware such as Kafka and Redis.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or JavaScript, with knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Willingness to work irregular hours supporting a global market.

Nice to have

• Experience in broker-dealer, electronic trading, or fintech environments.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM integration, or advanced operational automation.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and best practices.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
