What you will do
- Manage daily IT operations, local PC support staff, infrastructure, legacy clinical systems, and business information systems.
- Act as the IT liaison for hospital executives, medical staff, management, clinics, and physician offices.
- Coordinate enterprise infrastructure and application teams, hardware and software activities, change control, maintenance contracts, and production changes.
- Protect data and electronic protected health information while supporting confidentiality, integrity, availability, HIPAA compliance, and information security practices.
- Lead staffing, recruitment, performance management, training, scheduling, coaching, and after-hours response coordination.
- Develop and manage capital and operating budgets, projects, disaster recovery plans, system selections, and vendor relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics, or a related field plus five years of relevant IT experience, including two years of management or leadership experience; equivalent associate degree or high school diploma and certification pathways are accepted.
- Experience with hospital information systems, technical support teams, large-scale projects, lifecycle management, or budgeting is preferred.
- Strong communication, decision-making, prioritization, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work in a high-stress, rapidly changing environment.
- Working knowledge of ITIL, CoBIT, or other IT best-practice frameworks.
- Onsite work at Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, United States is required.
