Working Student R&D (Medical Devices)

Location: Berlin, Germany; onsite part-time position, 20 hours per week

hirify.global develops engineered components and subsystems for mission-critical healthcare and advanced manufacturing applications, including minimally invasive surgery, robotics, and 3D metal printing.

What you will do

• Support the Control Engineering team in developing, testing, and maintaining control software for medical devices.
• Conduct pre-studies on rapid prototyping rigs and support experimental prototypes.
• Create simulation tests in Simulink Test and build test setups.
• Execute and evaluate test runs on automated test setups.
• Implement development-support scripts and maintain engineering documentation.
• Collaborate across disciplines and help improve model-based development methods and processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in automation engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, medical engineering, engineering science, or a similar field.
• Required experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Required experience with rapid prototyping using dSpace or Speedgoat.
• Required experience working on test rigs.
• Independent, goal-oriented, and analytical working style.
• Proficient English is required.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with C/C++ or Python.
• Experience with electronics and PCB design.
