TL;DR
Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (Rocket Growth) (E-commerce/Corporate Finance): Driving profitability management, forecasting, reporting, and financial oversight for Coupang’s Rocket Growth business with an accent on inventory loss, logistics costs, unit economics, and executive decision support. Focus on building scalable financial frameworks, analyzing performance drivers, and leading cross-functional initiatives that improve controls and sustainable growth.

What you will do

  • Drive profitability management across revenue drivers, seller economics, fulfillment costs, and investment trade-offs.
  • Partner with business, operations, supply chain, and product leaders to develop financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Lead monthly forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and Plan vs. Actual variance analysis.
  • Own inventory-loss oversight, strengthen controls, and implement loss-reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze logistics, fulfillment, returns, seller cohorts, product categories, pricing, and customer behavior to improve unit economics.
  • Build scalable financial frameworks, reporting infrastructure, and analytical tools for executive decision support.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience focused on FP&A and corporate finance in global technology, large-scale services, e-commerce, or high-growth industries.
  • 5+ years of team management experience and direct partnership with senior leadership.
  • Experience managing large enterprise or major business-unit P&Ls ranging from hundreds of millions to billions of USD.
  • Ability to translate complex data analytics into clear business narratives for non-finance executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • MBA or master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or CFA certification.
  • Experience in online advertising.
  • Experience in a multinational company with exposure to Asia.
