Senior Security Engineer (Blockchain)

Location: Remote from Argentina or Uruguay. Working hours must have a majority overlap with Eastern Time business hours; candidates across Pacific Time must be within ET+2.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with Engineering and Product from threat modeling and system design through production operation.
• Review application code, APIs, infrastructure as code, cloud environments, Kubernetes workloads, deployment pipelines, and production configurations.
• Design and improve security controls, secure patterns, tooling, CI/CD integrations, and security monitoring.
• Develop and tune detection rules, investigate suspicious activity, and coordinate incident response with the SOC and internal teams.
• Own vulnerability management, including prioritization, remediation tracking, exception management, verification, and reporting.
• Support penetration tests, architecture assessments, vendor reviews, security automation, metrics, and product security roadmaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in product security, application security, cloud security, or a related security engineering role.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience reviewing web applications, backend services, REST APIs, authentication, authorization, and relational databases.
• Experience securing AWS, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD or GitOps workflows.
• Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, CSPM, container scanning, secrets detection, infrastructure-as-code scanning, SIEM, or cloud-native detection platforms.
• Experience with security investigations, detection engineering, vulnerability management, incident response, and SOC collaboration.
• Strong communication, autonomy, judgment, and ability to explain technical risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with fintech, payments, digital assets, or other high-assurance financial platforms.
• Familiarity with blockchain systems, smart-contract integrations, transaction flows, custody models, signing infrastructure, or cryptographic key management.
• Experience with TypeScript, Pulumi, AWS, Argo CD, Cloudflare, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with detection-as-code, security data pipelines, incident-response tooling, security automation, or AI-assisted security tools.
• Offensive-security, incident-response, or cloud-security experience or certifications.
