Applied Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus; office-based four days per week with one remote day of choice

What you will do

• Own the process from ideation and research through production deployment.
• Join the Pricing or Matching team and solve high-impact problems such as dynamic pricing and bipartite matching.
• Collaborate with engineers, Data Scientists, designers, and product managers on ambiguous problems.
• Research, prototype, and deploy machine learning and optimisation models.
• Improve existing algorithms and identify opportunities for new ones.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Management Science, or a closely related field with a focus on optimisation.
• Strong foundation in mathematical optimisation or mathematical programming.
• Solid knowledge of probability, statistics, reinforcement learning, and causal inference.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and core machine learning tooling, including SQL and PyTorch.
• Ability to work from the Nicosia office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with dynamic pricing, auction design, or marketplace matching problems.
• Publications in Q1 or A* journals or participation in NeurIPS and other conferences.
