Commercial Counsel (SaaS)

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate SaaS, software licensing, reseller, managed service provider, and distribution agreements.
• Assess contractual risks and propose alternative language and mitigation approaches.
• Support vendor security and privacy questionnaires and vendor contracts.
• Advise sales teams and business leaders on legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
• Build strong working relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams while developing knowledge of the product suite and business.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and support wider legal initiatives in a fast-paced technology company.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience drafting and negotiating technology commercial contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, reseller, MSP, and distribution agreements.
• Law degree and qualification in the EU, UK, or US, with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, organisational, and business judgment skills.
• Experience with data privacy and security issues and related contractual terms.
• Experience in the enterprise SaaS industry.
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and manage multiple commercial deals through closure.
