Working Student Designer (AI)

Location: Remote across Germany, with offices in Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich

hirify.global builds an integrated renewable-energy system combining solar, batteries, heat pumps, e-mobility, software, and a virtual power plant controlled by Heartbeat AI.

What you will do

• Contribute to a scalable, code-aligned design system for Heartbeat.
• Audit, structure, and document components, tokens, and UI patterns.
• Create reusable building blocks that support designers and engineers and improve handoff.
• Use Figma, Claude, Cursor, and other AI-assisted tools to explore, document, and iterate.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers, ask clarifying questions, and communicate design decisions clearly.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in UX, Interaction Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Interest in design systems, scalable component architecture, tokens, naming, and documentation.
• Autonomous, deliberate, and proactive approach to identifying gaps and solving problems.
• Quality focus in visual design, interaction, and consistency; academic projects are welcome.
• English is the working language.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in using AI as part of the design workflow.
• German language skills.
