Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech): Building and scaling reliable payments-platform features and services across the full engineering lifecycle with an accent on backend development, cloud infrastructure, and production operations. Focus on architectural decisions, performance optimization, monitoring and incident response, and mentoring engineers while working with Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and SQL databases.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico — fully remote. Candidates must have the right to work in the jurisdiction where they work.

What you will do
- Own the full software engineering lifecycle from design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production maintenance.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and SQL databases.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape requirements and technical solutions.
- Lead architectural decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, reliability, and performance.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and support processes while troubleshooting incidents and production issues.
- Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and promote high standards for quality and security.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with end-to-end feature ownership in production.
- Experience with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Experience managing both development and operational aspects of software, including performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Previous senior-level experience mentoring or guiding other team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
