What you will do
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, contracts, staff movements, probation periods, renewals, and separation processes.
- Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records, HR databases, documentation, and workforce reports.
- Support employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, performance management, and employee development.
- Coordinate induction, mandatory training, learning and development activities, and related compliance records.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, leave administration, workplace practices, and employee enquiries.
- Support work permit, visa, travel, accommodation, audit, labour compliance, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Law, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in an NGO or humanitarian environment.
- Experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, HRIS, and employee records management.
- Strong knowledge of Mozambican labour legislation, the local labour market, and the legal and socio-cultural context of Mozambique.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.
- Experience with work permit, immigration, and visa processes, plus strong planning, communication, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting field-based or multi-location HR operations.
- Knowledge of local languages spoken in Cabo Delgado.
- Experience with training facilitation and capacity building.
