Java Developer (Kazakhstan)

Location: Kazakhstan. Remote, office-based, and hybrid work options are available.

Salary: EUR 1,000–2,000 gross per month, depending on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services for a next-generation business banking mobile application using Java 11+ and Spring Boot/Spring MVC.
• Design RESTful APIs and integrate internal and external systems, including HTTP semantics and CORS configuration.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL by writing complex SQL, analyzing execution plans, optimizing indexes, and maintaining transaction integrity.
• Build the data access layer with Hibernate/JPA and implement reliable caching with Redis, including TTL management and distributed caching strategies.
• Configure Kafka-based asynchronous messaging, including topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, and fault tolerance.
• Support application security, CI/CD, containerization, cloud deployments, code reviews, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, Spring Framework, operating system fundamentals, and JVM interaction.
• Understanding of network communication, the OSI model, HTTP, TCP, and stateful and stateless protocol design.
• Solid knowledge of SQL databases, ACID properties, and transaction isolation levels.
• Hands-on experience with Git or another version control system, Docker, unit testing, and SonarQube or similar static analysis tools.
• English at Intermediate level or above is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Independent experience designing and setting up microservices architecture.
• Experience with Testcontainers.
