TL;DR
Data Integration Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js, Python, GCP): Building and maintaining ETL pipelines between Zuora REST APIs and GCP data warehouses with an accent on data transformation, validation, and operational reliability. Focus on integrating billing and revenue data, designing monitoring and retry mechanisms, and verifying data parity with complex SQL.
Location: Lima, Peru. Full-time role with availability to overlap with Pacific Time, primarily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT.

What you will do
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines between Zuora REST APIs and GCP data warehouses.
- Develop integration components with TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
- Manage transformation logic for billing events, subscriptions, invoices, payments, and revenue data.
- Use BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub to develop reliable data pipelines.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, error handling, retry logic, and data-quality controls.
- Investigate pipeline failures and data discrepancies while collaborating with the Business Architect on validation requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, integration development, or related roles.
- Production experience building ETL or data-integration pipelines with TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
- Experience integrating REST APIs with OAuth 2.0, pagination, error handling, and retry mechanisms.
- Advanced SQL skills, data-transformation experience, and knowledge of data-quality validation.
- Working English proficiency and availability to overlap with Pacific Time from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT.
Nice to have
- Experience with Zuora REST APIs, ZOQL, and the Zuora billing object model.
- Experience with dbt or similar data-transformation frameworks.
- GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
