Senior Staff Engineer (SRE)

Location: Offices in the United States

Salary: $244,000–$305,000 USD annually, plus potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

What you will do

• Develop the long-term reliability roadmap and act as a strategic partner across the organization.
• Design and influence company-wide SRE architecture, engineering standards, and reliability practices.
• Create scalable incident management and blameless post-mortem processes while reducing operational toil.
• Establish production readiness standards, automate operational work, configure infrastructure as code, and proactively mitigate failures.
• Partner with engineering leaders and product engineering teams on large-scale distributed system design and implementation.
• Mentor and lead Site Reliability Engineers through technical leadership, advocacy, and servant leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial system architecture and design work in consumer-facing technology.
• 5+ years as a senior technical lead or architect driving technical direction across multiple teams or projects.
• Expertise in building and scaling highly available systems and platforms.
• Deep understanding of multi-cloud environments, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
