ABRA Body Shop Technician (Automotive)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina, at 611 Brevard Rd

Salary: $25 per hour flat rate; $100,000+ annually advertised

Family-owned and operated automotive facility with Quicklane, Service, Sales, and Body Shop departments, including a certified shop for Ford, Subaru, and Tesla.

What you will do

• Identify required parts, review repair orders and estimates, follow warranty guidelines, and report additional repair needs.
• Adjust, replace, and repair vehicle bodies, including sheet metal, fiberglass, panels, structural frameworks, and body components.
• Perform structural welding, electrical and mechanical repairs, component installation, and alignment.
• Teardown vehicles, inspect for hidden damage, and communicate supplemental repair requirements or delays.
• Road-test vehicles when necessary and complete repairs efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
• Lead apprentice technicians and maintain ASE certifications.

Requirements

• Full-time availability for a four-day work week.
• Experience with welding, suspension, and framework is preferred; training is available for candidates willing to learn.
• ASE certifications in damage analysis and estimating, mechanical and electrical components, non-structural analysis and damage repair, and state vehicle inspection are preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
