Research Scientist Project Intern (Enterprise AI Agent) - 2026 Start (PhD)

What you will do

• Research self-improving agents, evolutionary optimization, and multi-agent systems for autonomous code generation, system maintenance, and decision-making.
• Formulate research ideas, design methodologies, conduct experiments, and lead papers for top-tier AI/ML conferences.
• Develop agentic self-evolution methods using proprietary, compliance-restricted datasets.
• Address data safety, memory optimization, and long-horizon runtime stability challenges.
• Build evaluation frameworks measuring runtime efficiency, task completion speedup, and labor cost offloading.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Research expertise in AI agents and LLM tool use, reinforcement learning and evolutionary algorithms, code generation, automated software engineering, or self-improving systems.
• Strong implementation skills in Python.
• System-level language proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go.
• Ability to work in proprietary and compliance-restricted data environments.

Nice to have

• Research experience with iterative self-evolution paradigms such as SGPO, recursive code improvement, or execution-guided synthesis.
• Experience handling compliance-sensitive execution loops.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge theoretical research with open-source or production demos.
