Senior Digital Health (DH) Advisor - Consultant (Digital Health)

Location: Based in hirify.global's Addis Ababa, Ethiopia office, with periodic travel within Ethiopia to project sites and regional offices. Applicants must have authorization to work in Ethiopia; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Provide senior technical leadership for the design, implementation, optimization, scale-up, and institutionalization of digital health initiatives.
• Support the implementation and adoption of Electronic Medical Records and related clinical information systems.
• Guide integration between EMRs, DHIS2, eCHIS, Laboratory Information Systems, disease surveillance, supply chain, and health financing platforms.
• Support digital health strategies, interoperability frameworks, enterprise architecture, data governance, and secure information exchange.
• Develop and strengthen dashboards, analytics, data visualization, reporting, and decision-support systems.
• Coordinate stakeholders, facilitate technical working groups, mentor counterparts, and contribute to assessments, technical reports, and knowledge products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, MD, or master's degree in public health, digital health, health informatics, health information management, epidemiology, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in digital health, health information systems, health informatics, or related fields.
• Experience implementing or scaling digital health solutions, EMRs, clinical information systems, and interoperability initiatives in low- and middle-income country settings.
• Experience with DHIS2, eCHIS, Laboratory Information Systems, disease surveillance platforms, or other national health information systems.
• Knowledge of health data standards, enterprise architecture, data governance, privacy, confidentiality, information security, dashboards, and data visualization.
• Authorization to work in Ethiopia is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting digital health initiatives in Ethiopia or similar health system contexts.
• Experience with U.S. Government-funded or other donor-funded health programs.
