Agent Deployment Engineer (AI)

Salary: A$213K–A$266K annually, plus equity. The posting also lists A$200K–A$270K.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and end-to-end execution of AI agent builds, from scoping and systems design through evaluation and production deployment.
• Design agentic logic, guardrails, and supervisory controls to improve quality, safety, reliability, and correctness.
• Build and validate integrations with customer systems, including data pipelines, CRMs, ticketing systems, APIs, tools, and workflows.
• Define success criteria with senior customer stakeholders and drive technical delivery against timelines.
• Diagnose probabilistic and technical failures using execution traces, error logs, and model behavior analysis.
• Develop evaluation and regression-testing frameworks and provide customer feedback to Engineering for platform improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, implementation engineering, or technical product management.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to write code, work with APIs, and build and validate integrations end to end.
• Experience delivering production-grade customer solutions through structured execution, testing, validation, and iteration.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical stakeholders, translate requirements into implementation plans, and drive delivery.
• Comfort working in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience building with or around LLMs and AI agents, including prompting, evaluation, guardrails, tooling, or workflow design.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS integrations and related security and compliance considerations.
• Computer Science, Engineering, or Math degree, or equivalent technical experience.
• Product instinct, including writing PRDs, defining success metrics, and contributing customer insights to the product roadmap.
