Credentialing Manager (Healthcare AI)

Location: NYC or SFO or Remote

Salary: $60,000–$120,000 USD per year

Fay is a healthtech company building AI-powered infrastructure for preventative healthcare through a marketplace connecting providers, patients, and payers.

What you will do

• Execute provider enrollment and credentialing applications across assigned payers using CAQH ProView, primary source verification, payer portals, and follow-up.
• Track application status, turnaround times, service-level agreements, denials, resubmissions, and missing documentation.
• Maintain accurate spreadsheets and dashboards, including status logs and enrollment trackers.
• Troubleshoot NPI data issues, license discrepancies, payer portal problems, and rejected applications through resolution.
• Lead contractors and vendors while partnering with credentialing and revenue cycle management teams to prevent billing and provider go-live delays.
• Use AI tools to draft communications, summarize payer requirements, and organize credentialing data.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with provider credentialing and enrollment, including CAQH, payer portals, license verification, application submission, and tracking.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills, including formulas, filtering, pivot tables, and maintaining large trackers.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to identify problems, troubleshoot workflows, improve SOPs, and drive issues to resolution.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in credentialing documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being developed.

Nice to have

• Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools.
• Credentialing experience with telehealth providers, especially dietitians, therapists, or other non-physician specialties.
• Familiarity with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, UHC, Humana, Medicare, or Medicaid payer portals.
• Experience at a high-growth startup or digital health company.
