Application Support & Training Specialist (HVAC/R)

Location: Brantford, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work arrangement after onboarding. Travel: 30% across Canada and the United States.

Base salary: CAD $100,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide application engineering, technical support, troubleshooting, and product recommendations to OEMs, wholesalers, contractors, and end users.
• Investigate product application and quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
• Perform and verify compressor inspections, controls, and equipment selections using hirify.global tools.
• Develop and deliver product, integration, installation, and service training for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain the annual training calendar, measure program effectiveness, and support the hirify.global Technical Specialist program.
• Travel to customer sites, wholesalers, OEMs, and training facilities to deliver training and participate in professional development.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of HVAC/R industry experience; 8+ years preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• High School Diploma and a 313A Commercial Refrigeration Mechanic qualification, or current technical college enrollment toward 313A certification.
• Experience supporting OEMs, wholesalers, contractors, and end users, with the ability to present to technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build professional networks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and travel to the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CO2 refrigeration experience.
• Previous experience teaching or delivering technical training.
