What you will do
- Develop and execute the Ocean Product business plan in line with district and regional growth objectives.
- Lead business development, customer retention, strategic account growth, RFQs, pricing, bids, and contract opportunities.
- Build strategic partnerships with carriers and service providers and support new business transitions.
- Manage the Ocean department structure, succession planning, recruitment, coaching, performance reviews, and employee development.
- Lead change management, productivity initiatives, continuous improvement, compliance, and operational escalation support.
- Own the departmental budget and P&L while improving revenue, profitability, productivity, cash flow, and operating margins.
Requirements
- College or university education, or equivalent business qualifications.
- At least 5 years of or logistics industry experience.
- Knowledge of the global logistics industry and strong customer focus.
- Planning, organization, conflict resolution, listening, feedback, teamwork, coaching, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Experience with process improvement, meetings, team development, and financial or operational performance management.
- English language proficiency and software skills, including Microsoft Excel formulas and Pivot Tables and Microsoft Word.
