Software Development Engineer – UI (Angular)

Location: Galway, Ireland; onsite in the Galway office two to three days per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Angular applications and reusable UI components for the Work Automation team.
• Own features through requirements analysis, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production support.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and services across the hirify.global Cloud platform.
• Build intuitive, accessible, secure, performant, and responsive user experiences.
• Investigate production issues using telemetry and operational data, and contribute to code reviews and engineering improvements.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to solve customer problems.

Requirements

• Approximately 2+ years of professional software development experience with a significant focus on web or UI development.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript development experience.
• Experience with Angular or a comparable component-based framework such as React or Vue.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive web development, REST APIs, and unit or automated testing.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale SaaS or enterprise web applications.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of frontend state management, asynchronous application patterns, accessibility standards, or design systems.
• Experience with observability, telemetry, frontend performance monitoring, microservices, or distributed cloud architectures.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and AI-powered product experiences.
