MRI Technologist - MRI - Per Diem

What you will do

• Perform MRI procedures according to American College of Radiology practice parameters and ARRT standards.
• Prepare and position patients, select coils, and follow department examination protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment, computers, EPIC, and PACS.
• Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology policy.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Recognize emergencies, initiate code procedures, provide first aid or CPR, and follow MRI safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Clinical experience in a diagnostic imaging modality or completion of an approved MRI education program with registry eligibility.
• ARRT certification in radiology, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine, and appropriate state licensure.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure.
• MRI registry with ARRT required within 36 months of employment.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification during employment.
