2027 Industrial Placement - Employee Benefits Consulting - Manchester

Location: Manchester, UK; hybrid working with a minimum of four office days per week initially, moving to two or three office days per week

What you will do

• Support the design and implementation of employee benefit strategies, including pensions, healthcare, wellbeing, and related technology.
• Attend client meetings, understand client needs, and contribute to benefit strategy recommendations.
• Analyse employee data and survey results to support benefit changes and recommendations.
• Research providers, prepare market review reports, draft employee communications, and respond to benefit queries.
• Support pension governance, regulatory requirements, investment strategy reviews, stochastic modelling, and portfolio construction.
• Contribute to seminars, financial coaching projects, client development, tenders, and pitches.

Requirements

• Strong written and spoken communication, customer service, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work with numerical and financial information and demonstrate commercial awareness.
• Problem-solving ability, curiosity, adaptability, accuracy, integrity, and collaborative working style.
• Ability to manage time around work and study for professional qualifications.
• Available for full-time work from 28 June 2027 to 28 July 2028 and returning to university for the final year in September 2028.
• Must be able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
