Multilingual Services Specialist (Language Technology)

Location: Parramatta, Australia (Hybrid)

Salary: A$116,981 to A$129,42 per annum, plus employer superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.

What you will do

• Provide specialist advice across translation, localisation, transcription, multilingual quality assurance and language technology.
• Assess complex multilingual service requirements and recommend appropriate delivery and quality approaches.
• Support and optimise the Translation Management System, workflow configuration and related language technologies.
• Maintain translation memories, terminology, style guides and multilingual quality standards.
• Analyse service and quality data, identify trends and recommend continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues, language practitioners and government clients to improve consistent and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in multilingual service delivery, including translation, localisation, transcription, content management or language quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of multilingual quality practices, terminology management, language standards and culturally appropriate communication.
• Experience supporting multilingual workflows with internal stakeholders, language practitioners and external clients in a high-volume environment.
• Recent experience administering or supporting Translation Management Systems, including workflow configuration, language asset management, reporting and quality assurance settings.
• Experience using project management systems or similar workflow-management platforms.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in translation, localisation, communications, linguistics, project management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
