Expert Linux Infrastructure & Support Tech Lead

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Provide operational and Level 3 support across Linux infrastructure environments, including incident investigation, resolution, maintenance, and problem management.
• Design resilient, secure, and compliant architectures while supporting technical decisions for new business applications.
• Lead infrastructure projects with development and infrastructure teams, including planning, coordination, and technical meetings.
• Manage monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, scaling, and performance optimization to meet SLA commitments.
• Coordinate change management, application deployments, infrastructure modifications, and release activities.
• Maintain documentation, backup procedures, restore testing, and Disaster Recovery Plan implementation and testing at least twice per year.

Requirements

• At least 9 years of experience in Linux IT projects and infrastructure support.
• Deep knowledge of Linux environments and proficiency in Shell and Python scripting.
• Experience with web servers and migrations such as WebSphere to JBoss.
• Knowledge of SSL, reverse proxies, load balancing, scheduler tools, monitoring systems, and deployment platforms.
• Fluent English and Portuguese are required.
• Existing legal authorization to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• Windows Server experience.
• Certification or experience in advanced security or cloud architecture.
• Additional expertise in database management or network security.
